Peaches Searles

Peaches Searles was born in Chattanooga, Tn on April fools day ! Her mother is Carolyn Hale, remarried to Sam Hale for 34 years, whom sadly passed November of 2019. At 15, Peaches survived the loss of her father to suicide. Her father was Mac Traffanstedt. She attended Gordon Lee High school in Chickamauga Ga and went to College at UTC where she studied business management. Peaches was a majorette in her high school band, and loved it so much she made sure to keep her grades up to par to continue doing what she loved, in return it taught her to work hard so she could play hard.

Peaches was raised in Chickamauga GA, on Lail Holler Rd. This was her first introduction to horses. the family lived in a trailer, and rented a lot from the owner of the farm, Mr. Lail. They cleaned stalls, hauled hay, gardened and worked horses to pay the lot rent.

She moved to Cleveland Tn, over 24 years ago with her  husband Kenny and daughter Ashley. Her husband purchased her a Tennessee Walking Horse for Christmas in 2005. She had a foal on the ground, so they got both, and her equine education began. Her first performance show horse ride was in the barn of Joel Nipper, and was hooked from that point on. Peaches laughs.. “we can blame Joel for where I am today.”

She owns a portable toilet business in Cleveland TN , American Rooter and Portables LLC, and  through her hard work with her business, She has been awarded State Associate of the year 2 times through our state Association HBAT and Associate of the year 3 times through our Cleveland Association ORBA, and now serves as the Associate VP for Chattanooga which is one of the largest in the SE. On her horses, her awards have not always been a ribbon, as much as the joy of being in the ring or watching her prize possession being displayed by her trainer.

Peaches is a member of  the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeder’s and Exhibitor’s Association (TWHBEA). She serves on the Performance show horse committee and marketing committee of TWHBEA. She served as a board of director for TWHBEA in 2019. She has been on the board of East TN Walking horse Association, and serves productive roles of many horse shows in East Tennessee area.

Peaches and her family now reside in Cleveland, Tennessee.
