Brandi Adkins

Brandi Adkins was born in Tampa Florida, June of 1982 and moved to Culloden West Virginia at the age of 8. Her father was a welder at Engines Inc, and a super hard worker who never believed in idle hands. He was passionate about supporting his family and making sure they had anything they needed . Sadly, he passed in 2005 at age 53. Brandi’s mother was is a retired School bus driver and still takes calls when needed because she still loves the job. Her mom loves horses and has a horse  by WGC He’s Puttin On the Ritz , that she loves to trail ride and trusts her with her life, at her delicate age.

Brandi is the mother of 2 beautiful children who are 13 and 4. Brandi was introduced to the Tennessee Walking Horse by a friend of her mothers. She started out trail riding. While going on camping trips with the horses and caring for them, Brandi was learning the basics of what the Tennessee Walking Horse was all about. She was then offered a position to help with a fun show to assist in raising money for a local Association , which started her show career.
Brandi was then offered a board position to a newly formed Association that was put together as part of fundraising. She soon found she was able to raise funds easily and advance that Association to it being as successful as it is today.

Brandi has made it her mission to raise the funds necessary to educate and promote this great horse, AMERICA’S SHOW HORSE . She helped build Appalachian Walking and Racking Horse Association, along with successfully hosting clinics for the Tennessee Walking Horse and hosting successful fun shows in the West Virginia area. She started the idea of the online raffles to help out local equestrian businesses. Many associations benefited from these raffles such as FAST, WHOA, Racking Horse Breeders Association and it’s Ladies Auxiliary, TWHBEA, and many more. She educated herself on the science behind the TWH show package and the truth behind the show horse. Brandi is educated as a paralegal, but found her niche as a Marketing Coordinator. She is committed to strengthen America’s SHOWHORSE by raising the funds necessary to keep the show horse alive. She is proud to be part of the HPAS. She understands our show horse represents a passion, that has been enjoyed for generations, and the youth that deserve it , as we keep it moving forward. She has hit the ground running at HPAS, finding new and innovative ways to raise money to achieve the mission, to promote America’s Showhorse. She embraces all showing breeds that find themselves a victim of government overreach.
Brandi and her children live in Red House , West Virginia.
